I enjoy the thought provoking ideas that my paintings display. People take a step closer to try and get inside of my paintings. I feel their eyes are captured and glued to the canvas, within moments they are traveling into my world I created. Most of my paintings have a depth that really brings you in and keeps your eyes moving from place to place. From that people often ask why, what or how this painting became.
I don't like to limit what you see with a title. For me titles are very difficult, and I don't usually even think in terms of a theme when I'm creating a painting. Once it's finished I'll come up with a title, but one person might see something, another might feel something, or maybe visions from a dream. I know if helps for the viewer to have a title so they can try to understand maybe something they are seeing, but I rather they take it as it is, and maybe talk to me about it, so they can really get an understanding.
